Respite Program Seeks Volunteers

Pinellas Hope Respite Services, a program of Catholic Charities Diocese of St. Petersburg is in need of volunteers. This program provides temporary emergency shelter for individuals without homes being discharged from the BayCare system who are too medically frail to return to the streets but do not require further hospitalization or skilled nursing facility care. Our needs are:

• Client assistant: answer phone calls and complete forms. Assist with scheduling and appointments.
• Driver: transport clients to medical appointments. (Always in agency vehicles).
• Grants specialist: grant research, preparation and submission.
• Casita assistant: set up and cleaning of casitas so they are welcoming and ready for the individuals being discharged from a Baycare hospital.

Volunteers will be working at Pinellas Hope. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact Sandra Grosvenor, PhD, RN-BC here. Thank you for helping Catholic Charities and BayCare care for individuals without homes who are too medically frail to return to the streets but do not require further hospitalization or skilled nursing facility care.
